Our goal is to help POTS patients and their loved ones understand how the autonomic nervous system normally works, what’s malfunctioning with POTS, and why different treatments help. We’ll be crowdsourcing recommendations, tips, and suggestions from people with POTS and then curating them into an easy-to-reference resource.
We believe that information sharing is the key to being able to STAND up for ourselves; We can STAND on the foundation of our shared experiences and knowledge. We are not alone in this journey.
We believe the autonomic nervous system is fascinating, awe-inspiring, incredibly complex, and poorly understood. Managing POTS requires a customized approach and we believe that understanding what’s going on in our bodies, equips us to advocate for our care.
Our bodies often feel out of control. It’s common to swing from ignoring our bodies to focusing on the worst possible scenario. We believe curiosity helps us find a healthier balance between the two.
We’ll do our best to accommodate brain fog by presenting an incredibly easy-to-understand overview of each topic along with a deeper dive into the details.
This site is an educational resource and does not provide medical advice. Managing POTS is a team sport and requires a medical team and social support.
